A Desert Man is a post-hardcore group out of Cincinatti that are worth checking out.

Such Things feels like the most complete representation of the band so far.

All four tracks on this debut EP from the Toledo trio display a wide range of ability and mood - each as compelling as the next. After the controversy and obstacles the band has overcome in the past year, this EP feels like the first in a line of many triumphs for a very deserving band. 

I could talk about this record for days and days, but reviewing it is very difficult; Harmlessness is the most personally involved listen of the year, and it’s brilliance is rooted in the listener.

Rapidassembly may not be Noside’s magnum opus, but it is a thoroughly enjoyable step in the right direction.

10-23 is packed with brash energy that does not feel at all removed from the incident which provoked it; emotion isn’t a tool that the band utilizes to craft their material, it is the fuel and the fire for it entirely.  

The heart of Teen Daze has always been well-executed, deeply nostalgic music; that does not change on Morning World.

And as he emerges from the fog, one thing is especially clear: whether he’s on stage with a guitar or in the studio staring at his laptop, Kevin Parker is a goddamn rockstar.

PALACES, an electronic duo from Detroit, have premiered two new tracks under the single Dust/Telephone. 

In just the first 10 minutes of Last Forever, Bjernelind invites listeners to “take her hand” a few separate times; although where you’ll go is unsure at that point, accept that invitation. Last Forever is a worthwhile journey.

Closer to Dog – and Cousin Brian, for that matter – is much more than an indie rock worship project. It’s a concentrated, inventive LP with an energy all its own.
